It has been two months since I became an Assistant Professor. What it means to be an Assistant Professor, the responsibility to deliver upto the expectations of students, understanding the faculty politics, petty games being played in the organization, disgruntled staff members and so on .....................the list is long and it is nothing new.......हिंदी में कहूं - नाम बड़े पर दर्शन छोटे!
नया experience जो हुआ है, वो है - sharing the space with students, trying to understand them and in the process help them understand the world.
in the past 2 months I have had lot of free hours to myself - to think, write and reflect, meditate and be in peace........solace of solitary life is a bliss in this role.....
it is easy for me to strike a conversation with anyone on any note..... connecting with people and their aspirations..... it is beautiful..... there is nothing greater than the moments of honest and free flowing expression which one is able to strike with a stranger ................
